Who are you going to call? Ghostbusters?! Well they won’t help you make this fun green cocktail, but I will! I’m super excited for these seasonal drinks and can’t wait to hear what you think! This Ghostbuster cocktail is playful and spooky and is just perfect for upcoming Halloween parties! Have a themed event or dinner party? Bring a batch of this cocktail and get ready for a fun night!
The colors of Halloween are very clearly black and orange, but purple and green are just as popular for this holiday season. Midori is a great liqueur to use for Halloween drinks to bring out the bright green color and add the theme and fun. In addition to Midori, this drink includes peach schnapps and Baileys. You can add other ingredients like vodka or tequila to add a little more kick to the drink. The Baileys gives a great ghostly effect to the drink and brings up the spooky factor!
Have you been enjoying our Thirsty Thursday recipes and wanting to make your own? The simple equipment needed for this drink recipe is all you need to get started. A cocktail shaker, ice and glasses are a must have for pouring cold drinks. Add a jigger, or small measuring cup, for accuracy on pours and the booze needed to complete the recipes. Think about what you normally drink and plan accordingly. I don’t drink a lot of Baileys, so I usually get a six pack of smaller bottles, so I’m not opening up a large bottle to sit. When it comes to glassware, you don’t have to get fancy. My collection has grown over time, but a simple highball glass is great for these drinks. note: I really thought I had martini glasses for this recipe, but they must still be packed away somewhere. The glass in the photos worked out perfectly though!
To make this recipe, simply add the liqueurs to a shaker with ice. Shake and then strain into glass. Add in a few drops of Baileys to see the ghostly addition in the glass. You can always add some fun garnish to really amp up the fun. Add in a plastic eyeball or vampire teeth to the top of your glass to add a little extra. This is a very sweet drink, so if you prefer to not have a super sweet cocktail add lemon-lime soda to your drink to cut some of the sweetness. Enjoy your spooky cocktail!
