Christmosa

We were looking for a great spin on our monthly mimosa that would bring in the holiday spirit AND be a great addition to holiday parties. This is exactly what we were hoping for! Mixing fun of the holidays, the warmth of the seasonal flavors and tasting great in big batches makes this Christmosa the perfect drink for holiday events or Christmas morning!

I’m a big fan of cranberries, especially this time of year when they are in season and readily available. For the fruit in this cocktail I quartered fresh cranberries, along with white grapes and a granny smith apple. The pomegranate seeds are a fun addition to the mix and really bring out the festive holiday spirits! We use the sparkling apple cider to bring a little warmth to the drink. Perfect for a winter cocktail!

Ingredients for this recipe are champage, sparkling apple cider, a granny smith apple, fresh cranberries, green grapes and pomegranate seeds. I also like to have a jigger and shaker on hand, along with a strainer to chill ingredients that aren’t already cold. The printed recipe will be for a single drink, but up the ingredients to 1 cup each of the fruit and sparkling apple to make a bigger batch. We made this in a pitcher with a strainer to prep ahead of time and enjoy without the fruit. There are so many ways to get it ready for your enjoyment. To prepare, simply dice up the fruit and add to a glass with the cider. Then top off with champagne and enjoy! Do you enjoy adding garnishes? A sprig of rosemary or an apple slice would work great with this drink.

We hope you enjoy this recipe and your cocktail hour. That being said, we hope that you choose to drink responsibly. Make sure to tag us when you make and share this drink! Thank you for reading and joining us on this journey. Simply, Beth
