Midori Sours for St. Patrick’s Day

When I think of cocktails for St. Patrick’s Day, I always think of green drinks. Whether it is beer with green food coloring, or drinks that contain Midori or Apple Pucker for the green color. The Midori sour is no different and is actually pretty tasty! Get in the spirit of St. Patty’s Day with this green cocktail.

This sweet, but tart, cocktail contains Midori, vodka, lemon and lime juice, and lemon-lime seltzer. You can also add a little simple syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink or stick with just lemon-lime soda or plain soda water. I love lime flavor and went with a lime soda water that I made on my SodaStream. Again, if you don’t have this amazing machine it is time to add it to your kitchen or bar set up! To make this drink simply fill a glass with ice and add all ingredients, but the soda. Stir to combine, then top off with the soda. If you like to garnish a Maraschino cherry (my favorite) works well, or you can use a lemon or lime. Honeydew lemon balls also go well with this as it is the flavor of the Midori.

I was honestly expecting there to be sour mix in this recipe because of the name, but there isn’t. If it is an ingredient you like, substitute it for the fresh lemon and lime juices. I always prefer fresh, especially using my antique, glass juicer. This would also be a great drink frozen and would just need to be blended with ice to achieve.

We hope you enjoy this recipe. If you make it, please send us a cheers and a tag on socials! As always, thank you for reading and joining us on this journey. We love learning and growing with you.
