Citronella Candles

Summer is the time for fun, for BBQs, for swimming and for bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. I am very thankful that I am not a mosquito magnet, and I am only affected a few times a year from bug bites, but my husband is regularly trying to keep the bugs away. We worked on these amazing, and easy, candles last summer and they are just great. Not only are they pretty to look at, a great piece on the table to talk about, but also effective in keeping mosquitoes away!

What’s in it?

This is a simple recipe of citrus fruits (we used lemon & lime slices), a sprig of rosemary and a bit of Cintronella essental oil (I use 1 tsp, but 4-5 drops should do the trick). Place all ingredients into a mason jar, fill with water and add a floating candle for a beautiful finishing touch!
