We have started pulling out Halloween decorations and placing them around our home. I pulled this frame out and liked it just as much as I did last year when it was first made. I shared this last year on our Facebook page, but I feel like it is worth another share because it is so easy and inexpensive. I love the simplicity of it, but still gives us some Halloween spirit.

Looking for some easy decorations to put for Halloween? This one could not be easier! I was at the craft store and saw some Halloween Fabric on a pretty big sale, so I picked up half a yard (which was still too much in the end, but I had no clue what I was going to use it for). Walking through I found a sturdy, but inexpensive black frame on sale as well and though the two would make a great match. Simply put, this decoration is a little fabric in a frame!

I started by cutting the fabric out about an inch or so wider than the cardboard photo backer. Then, I folded the fabric around the frame like I was wrapping a present. Truth be told I’m a horrible wrapper, but I seemed to do just fine on this one. I put a few staples in to keep the fabric in place. (see note below about this) and hung on the wall. This is a very simple and inexpensive way to put some holiday spirit up on the wall, no matter how big or small your budget and what holiday or season it is!

*Note: I used staples around the edge of this painting. While my husband says he doesn’t notice them, I definitely do. I would suggest using a strong glue/fabric glue to hold this fabric down if you are picky about little things like this.
