It is time for our final Valentine’s Day cocktail and I couldn’t be happier with the last to make the cut. We are really enjoying adding Gin to our home bar and this Gin Fizz is no exception. This sweet, tart and bubbly cocktail is a great cocktail to serve on Valentine’s Day. The taste is wonderful and the color is perfect for this holiday.
To make this recipe you will need just a few ingredients. Gather gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, an egg white, club soda and ice. We used our Sodastream to make the soda water at home and if you don’t have one yet, I’m not sure what you are waiting for! Grab your shaker and jigger too to measure out and chill your ingredients.
I love when a shaker is involved because it’s so much easier to prepare ingredients. Start with the egg white in your shaker. I start with this to avoid shells in my cocktail. If you are against the egg white it is not an absolute necessity, but it does add creaminess to your cocktail and I promise you won’t taste it. Add the rest of your ingredients, except the club soda, and shake until the egg white is mixed. Add ice and shake again to chill the mixture. Strain and pour into a chilled highball, or similar glass. Top with club soda, and if you like to garnish add a sprig of rosemary or lemon wedge.
We hope you enjoy this light and fizzy cocktail all year round, but the fun red color makes it great for this holiday! As always, thank you for reading and joining us on this journey. We love growing and learning with you.
Simply,
Beth
