Ginger

What is it?

Ginger is a flowering plant, but we don’t really think of ginger in this way. When we think of ginger we usually think of ginger root. The rhizome of the ginger plant has a wide variety of uses. While ginger is technically a vegetable because of the root of the plant, it is used as an herb and/or a spice.

Uses for:

Ginger is widely used in cooking all over the world. It has a mild taste that is enhanced when incorporated with other ingredients. Ginger can be added to many dishes as ingredient, or as a staple in teas. It is a popular baking ingredient (gingerbread & cookies) and a great addition in beverages (ginger ale & ginger beer).

Benefits of Using the Essential Oils:

Ginger essential oil is popular in our house. This essential oil is great for enhancing concentration. We often use it to help with upset stomachs or headaches. Many use ginger in hair products to promote hair growth while others use it typically to help reduce inflammation and redness. When used in aromatherapy it can help with nausea, respiratory problems and anxiety levels. So many great benefits of adding ginger to your routine.

Tin Box Products that use Bergamot:

If you decide to use essential oils, please do your own research before ingesting or applying to your skin. It does not have the same effect for everyone. While I am an avid user, I am not a health professional. Please reach out if you have any questions and ask your health professional before starting a medicinal routine. We look forward to sharing more about our ingredients and hearing how you use them in your own home. Thank you for reading!
