What’s better than hot chocolate on a cold day? Hot Chocolate that you made yourself! This mix makes a large batch of hot chocolate to take you through the season, or even gift to others!
This mix is so simple and just takes a few ingredients whisked together. Those ingredients are nonfat dry milk powder, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, salt and chocolate chips.
You can choose any flavor of chocolate chips that you prefer. I love white chocolate and tend to use it in as many desserts and baked goods as possible. You can add the chocolate chips to the mix, but I like to grind them into a powder for a quicker incorporation with the hot milk.
This recipe makes plenty of hot chocolate and stores great in a couple of quart mason jars for the whole winter season. I like to give a few smaller jars as gifts at the holidays or as a just because gift.
When you are ready to make yourself a cup, simply add 1/3 cup of the mix to a mug and stir in 1 cup of warm milk. I like adding marshmallows, caramel and some full chocolate chips. Add what you like and enjoy!
