What is it?
Lemon is a fruit that grows on a small evergreen tree. This citrus tree originates in Asia, but can be found throughout the world. The fruit is considered a citrus fruit because the juice is about five to six percent citric acid with a pH of about 2.2. The fruit that grows on this tree is edible and has many uses.
Uses for Lemons:
Lemons are used in a variety of ways, using all parts of the fruit. The juice of the lemon is the most widely used. Lemon juice can be found in culinary recipes, drink mixes, cleaning formulas and more! The pulp and rind are also edible and often found in baking recipes. We make lemon extract here at Tin Box and often add lemon to our cleaning supplies that we make in-house. The essential oil of lemons is also used in aromatherapy and other ways to promote healing and health.
