Tangerine

What is it?

The tangerine is a citrus fruit. It is orange and has a soft, pebbly skin. Tangerines are a bit sweeter than oranges, and is packed with Vitamin C. It contains 34% of daily intake values! There is also a good amount of Vitamin A and small amounts of other vital vitamins like folate, thiamin and vitamin B6. Do not mistake this fruit for a mandarin orange, they are different. The color, taste, texture and flesh are all different. Now let’s see what to do with it.

Uses for:

Tangerines are used primarily for eating. They make a great snack, addition to desserts, salads and smoothies. The peel is a great addition in baking and mixing drinks. Candied peels make a different and great treat. Some ingest the peel for asmtha, indigestion, clogged arteries and more. I’ve never tried this before, but am curious to try the next time I get indigestion. I love using tangerine in my aromatherapy routine. I regularly use it in morning showers to lift up my mood and put a little perk into my energy levels and it helps me to take on challenges of the day with a calm state of mind.

Benefits of Using the Essential Oils:

There are many uses for tangerine essential oils, but the benefits just make those uses so good that you will want to include them in your own routine. Skin care routines regularly use tangerine for the vitamin C and cleansing properties that it contains. Our skin LOVES vitamin C. It helps to produce collagen and keep our skin tight and youthful. Many use it to enhance focus and lift up moods. When cleaning your home, include a bit of tangerine essential oil in your routine for clean counters and great, fresh smells.
