French Toast Sticks
Great for freezer prep and make ahead breakfasts!
- 1 loaf brioche bread
- 7 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a large baking sheet with baking spray
Slice the Texas toast into thirds
In a large bowl whisk together your eggs, milk, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, salt and sugar.
Place your bread in the mixture, then allow the excess to drip off. Place on baking sheet, then repeat with remaining strips.
Bake for 20 minutes
*only dunk one piece of bread at a time. If you put too many pieces in, they will become fragile and break apart. Ask me how I know.
*To freeze, let the sticks cool and then transfer to a dry baking sheet to flash freeze for at least 2 hours. Then you can transfer to a freezer bag, of vacuum sealed bag for storage.
