French Toast Sticks

Great for freezer prep and make ahead breakfasts!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf brioche bread
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a large baking sheet with baking spray
  • Slice the Texas toast into thirds
  • In a large bowl whisk together your eggs, milk, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, salt and sugar.
  • Place your bread in the mixture, then allow the excess to drip off. Place on baking sheet, then repeat with remaining strips.
  • Bake for 20 minutes

Notes

*only dunk one piece of bread at a time.  If you put too many pieces in, they will become fragile and break apart.  Ask me how I know.  
*To freeze, let the sticks cool and then transfer to a dry baking sheet to flash freeze for at least 2 hours.  Then you can transfer to a freezer bag, of vacuum sealed bag for storage.
